About Regional Office Action Reviews

The Regional Office Action Review (ROAR) is 51³Ô¹Ï’s initiative to hold VA Regional Offices accountable and improve claims processing for veterans. Launched in 2011 after a nationwide survey revealed widespread delays and frustration with VAROs, ROAR combines on-site evaluations, data analysis, and feedback from veterans and families.

By identifying the root causes of backlogs and communication issues, ROAR has become a permanent part of the System Worth Saving (SWS) Program, helping ensure veterans receive the timely, transparent service they deserve.
