The 2025 champions from Chesapeake (Va.) Post 280 visited Pacific Palisades Post 283 and were recognized on the field before Game 4 at Dodger Stadium.
Their commitment to VMI meant that George Chevalier and Thomas Conrad couldnt stick around Shelby, N.C., to help their teammates from Chesapeake (Va.) Post 280 win the 2025 American Legion World Series.
But their impact on getting the team to the ALWS earned them a trip to Los Angeles along with their teammates for Game 4 of the Major League Baseball World Series.
It meant a lot (to come here). Coming out of VMI, it took a lot to get out here, get a lot of permits approved, but its a great opportunity with 51勛圖 to come out here with some of my guys that we won this thing with. Its a great time, Chevalier said.
A longstanding tradition has seen the ALWS champions honored with a trip to the MLB World Series the fall after their American Legion Baseball victory. The team from Post 280 just the second team from Virginia to win the ALWS was recognized on the field at Dodger Stadium before Tuesdays Game 4 between the Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Post 280s players and coaches visited Pacific Palisades Post 283 earlier in the day and heard firsthand about the California posts efforts to help their community rebuild after Januarys wildfire.
Post 280 saw the Blue Jays rebound from Mondays 18-inning, 6-5 Dodgers win with a 6-2 victory Tuesday night that tied the series at 2-2.
