American Legion Riders
Driven by Purpose, United in Community
American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes and severely wounded servicemembers. And since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in 51³Ô¹Ï Legacy Run, first raising money for scholarships for children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001, and now for the Veterans & Children Foundation, which funds American Legion service officer training and provides grants for at-risk minor children of Legionnaires and active-duty military.
51³Ô¹Ï Legacy Run
Since its inception in 2006, our annual event has raised $16 million dollars for 51³Ô¹Ï Legacy Scholarship Fund.
Today, The Legacy Run is focused on fundraising for the Veterans & Children Foundation, which funds American Legion service officer training and provides grants for at-risk minor children of Legionnaires and active-duty military.
